Fine Art Wedding & Portrait Photography
I'm Hope, but you can call me Hopie.
I'm a New England-based wedding, portrait, and lifestyle photographer. I split my time between Vermont's mountains, Boston's streets, and Cape Cod's shores. When I'm not bouncing around the east coast, I'm planning trips and traveling abroad.
When it comes to photography, my style and approach are natural, creative, and warm. I draw endless inspiration from the love between people; from Scandi minimalism and '70s earth tones; from fresh air and October sunlight, foggy days and windswept hills. Above all, I feel most creative in new places with new people — invigorated and buzzing with stories to tell.
I wear a lot of turtlenecks. I think a BLT is the perfect sandwich. I’ll never say no to going dancing. Also, I love Love.
My Wedding Philosophy
I am a wedding photographer because I love being around people who are filled with joy.
I love hearing people’s stories and documenting the moments that are important to them, big and small.
I believe in photography’s power to capture feeling and magically keep it alive.
I don't want to just take pictures of your wedding -- I want to capture this time in your life, the brief and precious moment when the rest of your life begins. I want to make honest and intimate photographs that document all your love, humor, and joy.
Above All, I care about how your photographs feel, because it's the feelings that you'll want to relive.
"I will start by saying I could write PAGES of praise for Hope and her photography, but will try to keep it brief. I am a relatively awkward and unphotogenic person, and so I usually hate having my photo taken. Hope not only instructed us clearly through every angle, but also put us completely at ease throughout the whole shoot (which made the pictures look very natural). We had a ton of fun shooting with her. And the photos themselves!! Oh my! Truly the most beautiful photos anyone has ever taken of us. Hope captured the moments and the light in ways I’ve never seen anyone do before. I am beyond grateful for her and her amazing talents."
